Dust pressed, 6 x 6 in, block printed under glaze, titled on tile face "St Augustine", from the set of 12 Early English History series, Pattern No 1344, first introduced c.1872, initialed by the designer Moyr Smith, Mintons China Works Stoke on Trent.
