Godwin tile

Dust pressed, 6 x 6 in, moulded high relief design, marked Godwin's "Godwin-Tile" Trade Mark on target back. c.1890.
Inlaid 3

Plastic clay, 4.2 x 4.2 in, inlaid 4 colour glazed floor tile, marked W.Godwin Lugwardine, Hereford on target back. c.1860.
Rose tile
(M174)
Dust pressed, 6 x 6 in, transfer printed, target back, possibly Godwin, c.1880.
An interesting design incorpoating the rose, shamrock and thistle (no daff or leek!).
A distinctive reverse which is yet to be confirmed as Godwin. The design was produced by several tile makers including Minton Hollins and Pilkingtons.
Inlaid 9

Plastic clay, 4.2 x 4.2 in, inlaid 2 colour glazed floor tile, marked W.Godwin Hereford, a tile of the same design can be found in the base of the font in St Martin's Church, Scarborough, Yorks. c.1861.
