(M009) Dust pressed, 8 x 6 in, inglaze decoration, marked Derwent Foundry Co Derby. c.1886.	(M009r) Mark on the reverse of the tile on the left. The foundry made fireplaces and kitchen ranges which they decorated with tiles made for them by Wooliscroft. 415 DF is the pattern number, Rd No 49378 means the design was registered in 1886.	(M010) Dust pressed, 5.9 x 8.0 in, inglaze hand decorated, unmarked, Wooliscroft & Sons or Derwent Foundry Derby. c.1888.
(M287) Dust pressed, 6 x 6 in, transfer printed and hand coloured, portcullis reverse with printed pattern (E?) 32 in a style similar to the Wooliscroft and Derwent monograms, may be Derwent Foundry or Wooliscroft, although the colours do not look right! c.1886.		(M011) Dust pressed, each 3 x 6 in, inglaze decoration, marked Derwent Foundry Co Derby. c.1886.
(M127) Dust pressed, each 5.9 x 5.9 in, inglaze decoration, marked with DFCoD (monogram), 291 DF (pattern number) and Rd No 2150, Derwent Foundry Co Derby. c.1884.		(M191) Dust pressed, 6 x 6 in, inglaze decoration, marked with WS (monogram), W 234 (pattern number), George Wooliscroft & Sons. c.1880.
(M124) Dust pressed, 6 x 6 in, inglaze decoration, marked with DFCoD (monogram), 337 DF (pattern number) and Rd No 13941, Derwent Foundry Co Derby. c.1884.	(M055) Dust pressed, underglaze transfer printed and hand coloured, 6 x 6 in, no makers name, printed in diamond shape "No 33", hand marked W, George Wooliscroft & Sons, c.1890. Fired Earth catalogue page 128, fig 408 shows a similar tile printed in sepia, uncoloured and without the border. It states that the design is based on illustrations from the children's magazine "Rosebud". No date is indicated.
Note: All Derwent Foundry tiles were made for them by George Wooliscroft and Sons of Hanley. The monogram for each firm is in the same font style. The colours and glaze used to decorate the tiles are similar, if not the same.
