This gallery categorises tiles by artist or designer. Most tile designs cannot be attributed to any particular artist or designer as people concerned were seldom allowed to sign their work. Most catalogues were produced without the tile designer being acknowledged. The more well known designers usually are relatively easy to identify. Tiles of other designers, whose work is less well known, or less well documented, present a more difficult task for attribution. The empty rooms will be used when required.
