Eyan Hall is a 16th or early 17th century and has been the home of
the Wright family since the late 17th century. Situated in the
village of Eyam, known since 1666 as the Plague Village. Near-by are magnificent views of Axe Edge, Mam Tor and distant Kinder Scout. The adjoining Eyam Moor has the stone circle Wet Withins and several other lesser circles. The moor also contains many barrows or ancient burial mounds. The area has many disused lead mines and is very popular with pot-holers. | |
