Police Memorabilia Museum
Enjoy a part of Derby and Derbyshire's history
The Derbyshire Police Memorabilia Museum is housed in a magnificent building in St Mary's Gate, built just after the turn of the century. Mahogany, mosaics, intricate plasterwork and vibrant 40 foot stained glass windows on a sweeping stairway set the scene for this fascinating collection. See actual weapons used in some of the county's murders, uniforms and badges through the ages and police transport from the Raleigh bicycle to the Norton Motor Cycle. Police restaint devices are on show from 14th century stocks to today's 'quick-cuffs' which are just being introduced.
